Exolix Review (2026): Fees, KYC Holds and the Swap-Data Leak

Updated · SuperSwap team

Superswap.cx is a crypto swap service with no account and no KYC: there is no registration, and identity documents are not routinely requested. It swaps 17 assets: BTC, ETH, XMR, ZEC, LTC, SOL, BCH, DASH, XRP, DOGE and ADA, plus USDT and USDC on Ethereum (ERC-20), Tron (TRC-20) and Solana. Fees are built into the displayed rate, swaps are processed in 5–30 minutes after the deposit is confirmed, and the minimum swap is $50. The main difference: Exolix lists Monero but not Zcash, and its risk-based AML policy can hold a flagged swap, while Superswap.cx swaps both XMR and ZEC.

Exolix is an instant swap service that has run since 2018. You pick a pair, send coins to a one-time deposit address, and receive the other coin, with no account. Its homepage advertises thousands of tokens across 200+ blockchains, but its public currency list returned 16 coins on 19 October 2026, including Monero but not Zcash. It offers both fixed and floating rates.

Full disclosure: we run Superswap.cx, a competing swap service. Everything below comes from Exolix's own terms, AML policy, FAQ and public API, plus kycnot.me, Trustpilot and a published security write-up, all checked in October 2026.

The Short Version

Good for

  • A large coin list, including Monero (XMR)
  • A fixed rate locked for 60 minutes
  • No account, and a free AML check of your address before you deposit

Watch out for

  • No Zcash (ZEC) at all
  • A risk-based AML policy that can hold a swap and ask for ID, selfie and source of funds
  • A May 2026 flaw that exposed details of about 356,000 swaps
  • Trustpilot has withheld its score after removing fake reviews

Fees: "No Fees" Means the Fee Is in the Rate

Exolix's FAQ says it does not charge fees because it uses a fixed rate. In practice the cost is the gap between the rate you get and the market rate. In one spot check against CoinGecko in October 2026, Exolix's BTC → XMR fixed rate came out about 1.2% under market and its floating rate about 0.2% under. Those numbers move with the market, so compare the amount you would receive, not the advertised fee.

A fixed-rate quote is held for 60 minutes. The site says there is no maximum, but the API shows per-pair caps: about 10 BTC for BTC → XMR at the time we checked.

KYC: What Triggers a Compliance Hold

Exolix's AML/KYC policy (updated July 2026) is explicitly risk-based. It lists the triggers: transaction amount, frequency, blockchain analysis, sanctions screening, geographic risk, wallet risk, requests from law enforcement, and requirements of third-party exchanges it routes through. When something is flagged, it can suspend, delay, reject or cancel the swap "until compliance review" is done.

Enhanced checks for high-value swaps can include a government ID, a selfie or liveness check, and proof of source of funds and wealth. The terms add that if you refuse a source-of-funds request, Exolix is not responsible for completing or refunding the swap. kycnot.me rates Exolix at KYC level 3 of 4 and gives it 5 out of 10.

The May 2026 Swap-Data Leak

In May 2026, security firm Rastersec published a write-up showing that a partner API endpoint exposed details of about 355,944 Exolix swaps from January 2025 to May 2026, worth roughly $39.5 million. The data included deposit and payout addresses, transaction hashes and amounts. That is exactly what a privacy-minded user does not want linked together. According to the write-up, Exolix called it a feature rather than a bug and responded with firewall rules. kycnot.me lists the issue as high severity and unresolved.

What Users Report

Exolix has about 349 Trustpilot reviews. Trustpilot currently withholds the TrustScore after removing fake reviews. About two-thirds of the reviews are five-star; the one-star reviews (around 21%) repeat the same themes: swaps stuck as "overdue", funds held during review, slow support and delayed refunds.

Exolix is a reasonable pick for an obscure token. For Monero, Zcash and the major coins, a service that does not routinely ask for ID avoids both the compliance hold and the missing ZEC.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Exolix safe?

Exolix has operated since 2018 and most swaps complete normally. The risks are its risk-based AML policy, which can hold a swap until you pass verification, and a May 2026 flaw that exposed details of about 356,000 swaps.

Does Exolix require KYC?

Not for most swaps, but its AML policy can hold a transaction for review based on amount, blockchain analysis, wallet risk and other triggers, and ask for ID, a selfie and source of funds. kycnot.me rates it KYC level 3 of 4.

What fees does Exolix charge?

Exolix advertises no fees. The cost is built into the exchange rate, so compare the amount you receive against the market rate or another service.

Does Exolix support Zcash?

No. Exolix lists Monero (XMR) but not Zcash (ZEC). Superswap.cx swaps both.

Does Exolix support Monero?

Yes, with both fixed and floating rates.

What is a good Exolix alternative?

Superswap.cx offers fixed-rate swaps for the major coins plus Monero and Zcash, with no account and no ID requests.
