How to Sell Monero (XMR) for USDT or BTC Without KYC

Updated · SuperSwap team

To sell XMR without an exchange account, swap it for a coin that is easy to spend or cash out: USDT (on Tron, Ethereum or Solana), USDC (on Ethereum or Solana) or Bitcoin. You send Monero from your own wallet and receive the new coin at an address you control. No sign-up and no ID check, from $50 worth of XMR.

We run Superswap.cx, so the steps below use our swap form. If you want local currency in the end, the last section covers how people usually take USDT or BTC the rest of the way.

Which Coin and Network to Sell XMR For

Pick whatever the next place your money goes accepts. If you plan to cash out on an exchange or P2P platform, open its deposit page first and check which coins and networks it takes.

You receiveNetwork on our formReceiving address looks like
USDTTron (TRC-20)Starts with T
USDTEthereum (ERC-20)Starts with 0x
USDTSolana (SPL)32–44 letters and numbers, no 0x

USDT and USDC hold a dollar value, so they suit selling XMR now and spending later. BTC suits you if the place you cash out prefers Bitcoin. Not sure about the networks? Our stablecoin networks guide explains the difference.

How to Sell XMR Step by Step

  1. Pick the coin and network you want. On the swap form, set You send to XMR and You receive to USDT, USDC or BTC, then choose the network. Enter at least $50 worth of XMR; the form shows what you will receive.
  2. Enter your receiving address on the same network. Copy it from your wallet or from your exchange's deposit page, making sure that page is set to the same network. A Tron address for USDT on Tron, an Ethereum address for Ethereum, a Solana address for Solana, a Bitcoin address for BTC.
  3. Send the XMR from your wallet. Confirm the order and keep the Order ID. Copy the XMR deposit address shown, or scan its QR code, and send the exact amount. In Feather and the Monero GUI wallet, use the Send tab; in Cake Wallet, tap Send. Your wallet adds the network fee on top, so keep a little XMR spare. The rate quote has a countdown: if it runs out before you send, create a new order.
  4. Wait for the Monero confirmations. The deposit has to be confirmed on the Monero blockchain before the swap is processed. Follow it on the Track Order page with your Order ID.
  5. Receive USDT, USDC or BTC. The coins go to the address you entered. Hold them, or send them on to sell for local currency (see below).

Wrong network = lost funds. USDT exists on several blockchains that use different addresses. If you choose Tron on our form but paste an address from an exchange page set to Ethereum (or the other way round), the USDT can be lost. Swaps are final once processed, so check the network and the first and last characters of the address before you confirm.

Why Your XMR May Not Be Ready to Send Yet

If the XMR only just arrived in your wallet, you may not be able to send it straight away. Monero locks every newly received output for 10 blocks, and a new block is added about every 2 minutes, so the wait is roughly 20 minutes. Until then, Feather, Cake and the GUI wallet show that amount as locked or unconfirmed.

The same rule covers change. When you send part of a balance, the rest comes back to you as a new output, which is also locked for 10 blocks. If you plan to sell in two parts, send them as one transaction or wait for the change to unlock.

Sources, checked October 19, 2026: Monero source code, cryptonote_config.h (10-block spendable age, 120-second block target); getmonero.org FAQ (a block about every 2 minutes); Feather documentation (outputs locked for 10 blocks).

From USDT or BTC to Cash

Superswap.cx pays out crypto, not bank transfers. Many centralized exchanges do not list XMR (see which big exchanges still do), so the usual route is to swap to USDT or BTC first and cash out from there:

  • An exchange you already use. Send the USDT or BTC to your deposit address there, on the matching network, and sell it for your local currency.
  • A P2P platform. Sell USDT or BTC to another person for a bank transfer or another payment method the platform supports.
  • Sell XMR directly, person to person. Haveno lets you sell Monero for fiat without a stablecoin step. It is slower, and both sides lock a security deposit until the trade completes.
  • Keep it in USDT. If you only want to stop holding XMR, USDT in your own wallet keeps a dollar value until you decide.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I sell XMR without KYC?

Yes. On Superswap.cx you swap XMR for USDT, USDC or BTC with no account and no ID check. The only thing you enter is the address that should receive the coins.

What is the minimum amount of XMR I can sell?

The minimum is $50 worth of XMR, valued at the time of the swap. For very large orders, email service@superswap.cx before you send.

Which network should I choose for USDT?

Choose the network your receiving wallet or exchange deposit address uses: Tron (TRC-20), Ethereum (ERC-20) or Solana (SPL). The address and the network must match, because USDT sent on the wrong network can be lost.

Why can't I send the XMR I just received?

Monero locks newly received funds for 10 blocks. A block is added about every 2 minutes, so that is roughly 20 minutes. Until then your wallet shows the amount as locked or unconfirmed.

How do I turn Monero into cash?

Swap the XMR to USDT or BTC first, then send it to an exchange or P2P platform you already use and sell it there for your local currency. Many centralized exchanges do not list XMR, which is why the USDT or BTC step comes first. You can also sell XMR directly to another person on Haveno.

What does it cost to sell XMR on Superswap.cx?

Our fee is built into the rate shown before you confirm the order, so the rate you see is the rate you get. Your wallet also charges the Monero network fee when you send.

How long does selling XMR take?

Superswap.cx processes swaps in 5–30 minutes after your deposit is confirmed on the Monero blockchain. You can follow each step on the Track Order page.

What if I enter the wrong address?

Swaps are final once processed, and a payout to a wrong address or the wrong network cannot be reversed. Check the first and last characters of the address and the network before you confirm.
